WHO | She's not only a multi-grammy award winning singer, philanthropist, actress, fashion designer, business woman and most recently the sexiest woman of the millenium. Mrs Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is also a devoted wife to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and beloved mother to their 1-year-old beautiful daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

WHY | Beyoncé is fashionable, elegant and in charge. She approaches her work like any professional athlete by continuously studying her craft, critiquing and working to improve it. She loves being on stage and has carefully intertwined her strong, fearless alter-ego 'Sasha Fierce', initially created to coax herself out of her own shell, into her personality. Her approach to life and her career in being a strong, independent woman has influenced countless people the world over and she did it all by doing what she loved. She says "I worked so hard during my childhood to meet this goal: By the time I was 30 years old, I could do what I want. I've reached that. I feel very fortunate to be in that position."

She has worked tirelessly for the past 15 years to delight our ears with beautiful music and at the very young age of 31 she's ready with her autobiography. Debuting on HBO this evening, the documentary entitled 'Life is But a Dream' goes behind the scenes of the ultra-private life of Mrs Knowles-Carter to bring to light who she is as a real woman.

Amanda has been a fan of Beyoncé since the early days of Destiny's Child. Mrs Knowles-Carter has not only shaped the music industry of Amanda's youth, but she has also empowered countless individuals the world over. "I now know that, yes, I am powerful," she says. "I'm more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand."
